This past weekend, our team competed in the M32 fleet during Bacardi Sailing Week. As expected, Miami provided ideal conditions and Bacardi/the M32 class put on a great event. The team is back in Palma de Mallorca, Spain training full time with Iker Martinez and the Movistar team. The progress the team has been able to make in the GC32 with the support from Iker has been tremendous. Next Generation USA looks forward to pushing hard in the GC32 through the Winter and into the Spring
The week of training ended with an evaluation from Red Bull Sailing Director Hans Peter Steinacher to qualify as the USA Representative at the 2017 Red Bull Youth America's Cup. The team rapidly climbed the learning curve using every minute to train with tremendous support from Iker Martinez and his entire team.
